Infinite States Games is releasing a 3D remake of their 2014 retro-inspired arcade game “Don’t Die, Mr. Robot!”. This news is hitting our website in multiple ways, as the original game is a modern take on old-school grid-based action puzzlers like Pac-Man and Ladybug, tweaked with the currently popular survival mechanics. Now, the developer coming out with a remake of the original (another specialty of ours).
From the publisher : “3D Don’t Die, Mr. Robot! is a fast-paced, arcade-style collect-’em-up where you play as Mr. Robot, a little droid who has become trapped in a highly dangerous and rather fruity dimension known as the Neon Dunjun. The only way for him to survive is to collect fruits which will explode on contact, destroying any enemies in their blast radius, helping Mr. Robot to cheat death for a few more moments. To assist him further, exploding fruits set off a chain reaction, causing other fruit to explode – filling the screen with trippy destruction and more importantly, POINTS!“
For this reboot, ISG has completely remade the original PC, iOS, and console game that is nearly 10 years old from the ground up. This time in full 3D. The game has been rebalanced to achieve the perfect difficulty curve that is both exhilarating and challenging. Now, ISG has brought the Don’t Die, Mr. Robot universe to life with beautiful particle effects and vivid neon colors. The game’s signature neo-retro cel-shaded look has been maintained. In addition each enemy is fully recreated in 3D and often reimagined with added goofy character. Additionally, the ISG house band has produced all-new music that will leave you in a fruit-induced trance.
The original game received critical praise from the press upon its release in 2014 and was made available on Steam, Playstation Vita, PS4, and the Switch in 2018. There’s already a demo available, and you can add the game to your wishlist now.
