Bitmap Bureau’s most successful game will get yet another port. Xeno Crisis was originally released as a result of a Kickstarter campaign back in 2019 for the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis. The Kickstarter’s stretch goals triggered an extensive porting program that would have been a running gag if the individual ports weren’t so great. Initially, the game was ported to the Dreamcast, Linux, macOS, PC, and the Nintendo Switch. Not much later, ports for the original hardware of the Neo Geo family (CD, AES, and MVS), PS4, and Xbox One were released. Eventually, Xeno Crisis was also released on the PlayStation Vita, Nintendo 64, GameCube, SNES, and Evercade.
Elaborating on their recent run on Nintendo platforms, Bitmap Bureau recently announced a Game Boy Advance version of Xeno Crisis. Like most recent ports, the GBA port will also be available soon. It is estimated that this port will be available in Q4 of 2024. Preorders are already available on Bitmap Bureau’s online store for €59.99. You can still find some of the other ports of Xeno Crisis in the online store as well.
