We’ve been waiting almost two years for the first free DLC expansion to the wonderful pixel RPG Sea of Stars. But to jump into the Sea of Stars Throes of the Watchmaker DLC, you’ll need to follow a few steps. It’s not a simple in-game download, it’s a bit more involved than that.
- The DLC is not installed automatically. To begin, you’ll need to manually download it from Steam or your console’s storefront.
- Throes of the Watchmaker is a post-game adventure. You must load a save file where the end credits have rolled at least once to unlock access.Once you meet the requirement above, return to the world map in-game.
- You’ll receive a new prompt via a message in a bottle — it’s from Hortence urging you to return to the Vespertine and check on Keenathan. When prompted with, “Hortence sounds really worried. Should we visit the crew right now?” choose Yes to continue.
- You’ll be transported to the top deck of the Vespertine. Head below deck and speak with the pirate crew to officially begin the Throes of the Watchmaker side adventure.
