Antstream Arcade’s mayor bug fixes, features and weekly games update

In its monthly update video, Antstream provided the community with information about the upcoming platform updates. Alongside addressing performance issues with search results and introducing newly added filters and fixes for thumbnail loading, Antstream also highlighted several bug fixes that users of the platform might have encountered. And as with every tuesday, the new games are announced!

    Bug Fixes

The upcoming option to remap controls for each game on the platform is particularly noteworthy. This is especially valuable for numerous Amiga games that originally mapped the jump function to the upward direction of a button or stick movement. By allowing players to map ‘jump’ to a face button, the overall playability is significantly enhanced.

Additionally, a minor issue that needs addressing is the current ‘feature’ wherein save data is tied to a profile linked to your localization settings or the country you are currently in. Consequently, if you were to relocate or modify your country settings on your PC or console, your save data could be lost until you revert back to your original country or settings. Antstream plans to rectify this by enabling the availability of save games globally.

Brazil and Australia are added to the Antstream supported country list

An important development is the availability of Antstream in Brazil and Australia, both significant markets in the retro gaming sphere. Brazil, in particular, boasts a substantial retro gaming community, making it a potentially lucrative market for Antstream Arcade.

    New games, Tournaments and Challenges

Alongside the bug fixes, as is the case every month, new games and challenges are also added. Last week, subscribers saw Magic Drop II (arcade) and the platform’s third PS1 title appear in the form of MDK. This week you can expect the following:

    Games:

    • First Samurai (SNES)
    • Night Slashers (Arcade)

    Challenge:

    • Espgaluda (Arcade)

    Tournaments:

    • Ikari Warriors (arcade)
    • Ninja Gaiden (monthly)
