At the end of last year, Aeternum Studios released Aeterna Noctis. Highly praised by critics for its relentless difficulty and hardcore platforming. It quickly became a small hit. And now, you can jump back in with its newly released free DLC, Pit of the Damned.

This DLC adds countless hours of combat and exploration. It introduces two new areas that are seamlessly integrated into the existing world and accessible within the first few hours of the game. These new areas bring along several new enemies and bosses for the King of Darkness to face. One of the key features of the main game was its gem system. It allowed you to actively and passively customize your playstyle. The new DLC introduces six new gems to the roster, some of which were requested by the fan community.

A new and interesting addition that comes with this DLC is the inclusion of timed trials, along with a cross-platform leaderboard. Are you going to dive back into Aeterna Noctis and challenge your friends for the top spot?

Aeterna Noctis is available for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox one, Playstation 4/5, Nintendo Switch and Steam.

Metroidvania's, soulslike or any game that calls for self-flagellation is what this dutch guy loves. How harder and relentless the game is, the more joy he gets out of it. But don't tell anyone he likes some easy games as well.
