Platform classic Gex trilogy is getting a remaster

Limited Run and Square Enix announced a Gex trilogy remaster during their showcase. The original games were developed by Crystal Dynamics, known for their critically acclaimed Tomb Raider reboot trilogy. Gex was initially released in 1995, followed by Gex: Enter the Gecko in 1998, and Gex 3: Deep Cover Gecko in 1999. The series revolves around the protagonist Gex, a gecko with a fondness for television, as he tries to prevent the cybernetic entity Emperor Rez from overthrowing The Media Dimension.

The remaster, which includes Gex, Gex: Enter the Gecko, and Gex 3: Deep Cover Gecko, will be released on modern systems for the first time and will run on Limited Run’s Carbon Engine. Unfortunately, we only got a brief teaser trailer, so we’ll have to wait a bit longer to see the full footage of Gex. No release date has been announced yet.

Are you as excited as we are to revisit the adventures of the friendly gecko?

Metroidvania's, soulslike or any game that calls for self-flagellation is what this dutch guy loves. How harder and relentless the game is, the more joy he gets out of it. But don't tell anyone he likes some easy games as well.
