Every Friday, in the next two months, Polish indie publisher RedDeer games will release a new indie game for the Nintendo Switch every single week. Among them, for the month of May are the highly anticipated (by us at least) Tiny Dragon Story and For a Vast Future. The May schedule looks as follows: The last game of the weekly release schedule is a bit of a mystery and will be revealed on May 10th, with a release date of May 26th. This is a Itorah review, specifically for the Nintendo Switch version. This game is also available for PC (Steam), Playstation 4/5 and Xbox Series S/X. The Switch version is available for €/$ 19.99 in the Nintendo eShop. Never have I been more torn by a game (and in particular by this port) than by Itorah. This is our review for Hyper-5 released by Magic Cube on the Nintendo Switch. It is available now for $/€ 9.99 and is on sale until 5/2/2023 for $/€ 7.99 in the eShop. It appears that there is a constant stream of shmups being released on Steam, itch.io, and consoles. Apart from quantity it appears its a challenge for indie developers to differentiate their new games. Innovation in this genre can be particularly difficult with so much games coming out. We’ve seen bullet hells, bullet grazers, horizontal and vertical shmups, as well as various combinations. However, to the best of…
