With the recent announcement that the highly regarded bullet-absorbing shmup Schildmaid MX would launch on Steam and consoles, developer HitP studio have released an almost revamped version of the original Itch.io release for its awaiting new player base. The game certainly has a lot going for it. First and foremost the interesting character designs which tap into the world’s themes directly in a very fever dream approach. Also the creative level design keeps you on your toes and makes you want to finetune your character’s build, even for levels specifically. Too bad Neotro could not be bother to create a more immersive narrative to bind the levels and the world together to keep me hooked all through to the end, without having to rely on perseverance.

Finally, Sabotage Studio’s Sea of Stars has a launch date! Originally slated for a late 2022 release, the game was delayed to a non-specific 2023 release window. But in Nintendo’s latest Direct on February 8th, 2023, it was given a definite release date: August 28th, 2023. Atari announced that Caverns of Mars: Recharded will be coming to PC, consoles, Nintendo Switch, and Atari VCS on March 9th 2023. The game is currently worked on by Lithuanian developer Sneakybox.
