To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the first Jurassic Park movie, Limited Run and Universal Games announced the Jurassic Park Classic Games Collection during Limited Run’s 2023 showcase. The collection includes two Jurassic Park games, and while it may sound a bit underwhelming to have only two games, the collection actually includes every version ever released for these games, including NES, SNES, and Game Boy.

    About the collection:

HOLD ON TO YOUR BUTTS! THE 8-AND 16-BIT ERA OF JURASSIC PARK GAMES HAS RETURNED!

The Jurassic Park Classic Games Collection will come with the following fan-favorite titles, originally released across NES, Game Boy, and SNES:

    • Jurassic Park
    • Jurassic Park Part 2: The Chaos Continues

This all-new release includes a lineup of classic titles and adds new features to the games, including save states for each game, new in-game maps, and various quality-of-life fixes that bring these titles into the modern era of gaming!

    ABOUT JURASSIC PARK

The perilous primeval world of JURASSIC PARK awaits!

Step into the role of Dr. Alan Grant! A computer malfunction has caused the release of hundreds of fearsome prehistoric predators. Vicious raptors, spitters, and T-Rex are threatening to overrun even the fortified visitor’s compound…and two children, Tim and Lex, are lost in the island’s jungle wilderness! To find and rescue them, you’ll have to face some of history’s most powerful and DEADLY carnivores.

ABOUT JURASSIC PARK 2: THE CHAOS CONTINUES

A year has passed, and no one has set foot in Jurassic Park…until now! As Dr. Grant, you’ll venture back to the island, where more dinosaurs than you could ever imagine await your return. If you thought the first visit was a nightmare, wait until you meet the new attractions!

    Standard Edition – $29.99

    • Physical copy of the Jurassic Park Classic Games Collection

    Classic Edition – $64.99:

    • Physical copy of the Jurassic Park Classic Games Collection
    • Steelbook
    • Packaging inspired by the original Jurassic Park VHS case

    Prehistoric Edition – $174.99:

    • Physical copy of the Jurassic Park Classic Games Collection
    • Steelbook
    • Packaging inspired by the original Jurassic Park VHS case
    • Replica of Dr. Alan Grant’s ID card inspired by the Jurassic Park game
    • Physical soundtrck CD with original music from the Jurassic Park Classic Games Collection
    • Mini replicas of original Jurassic Park NES, Game Boy and SNES game cartridges in a custom display frame
    • Packaging inspired by classic Jurassic Park toys

Limited Run Games isn’t stopping there, either. You’ll be able to pick up NES, Game Boy, and SNES cartridges of the titles too, which will come with a replica of the game manuals for each game. The standard edition of these will cost between $49.99 – $69.99, depending on which console you want to buy it for.

There are also Collector’s editions for the games, which will cost $99.99 per cartridge, but for that extra price, the cartridge itself will be amber-coloured and will light up. You’ll also get a double-sided poster, and a numbered foil-stamped slip.

Metroidvania's, soulslike or any game that calls for self-flagellation is what this dutch guy loves. How harder and relentless the game is, the more joy he gets out of it. But don't tell anyone he likes some easy games as well.
