Publisher Dear Villagers and developer Domesticated Ant Games have officially revealed Gravity Circuit 2, a sequel to the acclaimed retro-inspired action platformer that first launched in 2023. The game is currently scheduled for release in 2027 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch.
To celebrate the announcement, the original Gravity Circuit will be available to claim for free on Steam from June 1 through June 14 as part of the Dear Villagers Publisher Sale.
Set several years after the events of the original game, Gravity Circuit 2 returns players to a rebuilt Kernel City. A new threat has emerged in the form of an Ark controlled by the Hunter Army, forcing familiar heroes and new faces into action once again.

Returning protagonist Kai remains playable and retains his close-range combat style, built around fast-paced melee attacks and mobility. Joining him is a brand-new character named Cable, who introduces a completely different approach to combat. Cable specializes in ranged attacks, can perform multiple damaging jumps and possesses abilities that allow defeated enemies to be converted into scrap, which can then be used as ammunition.
Players will be able to choose between Kai and Cable before starting missions, allowing them to tackle stages with different playstyles.
The sequel also expands the progression system. New Booster Chips and Burst Techniques can be equipped to alter character abilities and statistics. Defeated bosses will reward players with Circuit Shards, a new upgrade system that grants additional powers and expands the characters’ move sets.

Like its predecessor, Gravity Circuit 2 combines fast action with challenging platforming. Players will battle through new areas of Kernel City, face off against fresh enemy forces and uncover hidden secrets throughout the adventure.
Music will once again be composed by Dominic Ninmark, whose soundtrack for the original Gravity Circuit was widely praised by fans of the genre.
The first Gravity Circuit quickly earned a reputation among action-platformer enthusiasts for successfully blending influences from classic 8-bit and 16-bit era action games with modern mechanics. The announcement of a sequel is likely to be welcome news for players who appreciated its polished movement system and satisfying combat.
Gravity Circuit 2 is currently in development for Steam, Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch, with a release planned for 2027.
