Live A Live comes to Playstation and Steam. Not to Xbox… again.

The 2D-HD remaster of Square Enix‘s Super Famicom classic, Live A Live, will soon be released on PS4, PS5, and Steam, on April 27th. After its original release on Nintendo Switch last year, the only platform left without the game is Xbox, unfortunately.

Square Enix is causing some confusion with their releases on different platforms. Octopath Traveler was released on Switch and Xbox, but not Playstation. However, with Octopath Traveler and Live A Live, Square Enix has made a complete reversal and released them Playstation after their original release on Nintendo Switch and Steam.

Similar to the Final Fantasy series, Square Enix appears to be unable to provide players the opportunity to play all installments of their popular franchises on a single console platform, except for Nintendo Switch.

Live A Live is available for pre-order on the Playstation-store for €/$ 49,99. PS Plus owners get a sweet discount and pay €/$ 39,99.
