Retrolike.net keep tabs on all the latest Game Pass announcements to keep you up-to-date on retro inspired releases you might want to play, once they are added to the platform. And you have a bunch of games to look forward too. Well, we do, at least.
Fuga 2 : Melodies of Steel
It’s time to once again take the helm of a tank and unleash destruction with your in-game siblings. The only problem? Half of your family has been trapped inside your trusty old Tank from the first game. Fuga 2, an RTS loaded with lots RPG elements and Japanese flair and stunning visuals. This time you’ll take control of your former enemy’s tank to free your captive allies and seek revenge. With its combination of real-time strategy gameplay and role-playing features, this game is a must-play for genre fans and people that like Vanillaware-style aesthetics.

Eiyuden Chronicle : Hundred Heroes
Eiyuden Chronicle is highly anticipated and stylized retro-like JRPG with an interesting mix of 2D and 3D graphics. Much like Square-Enix’s 2HD engine, but in its very own unique way. This spiritual sequel to the Suikoden series is published by Italian publisher 505 Games and should hit Xbox Game Pass somewhere in the later half of 2023.

Turnip Boy Robs a Bank
Turnip Boy has really gone off the deep end now. After setting things straight with the corrupt vegetable government (and committing tax evasion in the process), Turnip Boy is teaming up with the fearsome Pickled Gang to pull off the weirdest heist of all time.
We can’t go wrong with this one. The first game was extremely funny and even more fun to play. This pixelated delight should be good for 5 hours worth of chuckles. Instant download for us.

Replaced
This moody and highly stylized 2.5D platformer features gorgeous pixelated art that sets an immersive atmosphere. The game’s visuals instantly remind us of The Last Night, a title that had been deemed vaporware because there hadn’t been any news about it for years, until the announcement trailer of Replaced at the Xbox & Bethesda E3 showcase in 2021. This was the moment when The Last Night’s producer, Tom Soren, spoke out on Twitter. He was clearly unhappy about the fact that the game had a lot in common with his creation, and thus, drama followed. Despite the controversy, Replaced will soon be available and on our radar.

Hollow Knight: Silk Song
If you frequent a website like ours, you are probably already eagerly anticipating the follow-up to the much-praised and award-winning indie classic, Hollow Knight. It set a new standard for the metroidvania subgenre. Regardless of its status as an indie title or not, we expect Hollow Knight Silksong to be a highlight on this year’s Game Pass release schedule, overall.
Bushiden
Fans of 16-bit Shinobi or Strider inspired platform action, get ready to be hit with a blast of nostalgia once you’ve seen the Humble Games’ Bushiden. We can’t wait to get our asses handed by swarming grunts and clearly ‘OP’ and ‘unfair’ level bosses!
For more on Bushiden, check out the Humble Games website.
Spirittea
Hey human, we’ve got problems! This town is crawling with troublesome spirits, and you’re the only one who can see them. You’d better get that old bathhouse up and running, maybe that’ll help them chill out!
Spirittea is a pixel art RPG that is set in a rural town filled with spirits. In order to release the spirits, you need to help them find out who they are. You do that by running a mountainside bathhouse, where these spirits can find themselves again.
