Mintrocket’s debut darling, “Dave the Diver”, has been making waves globally since its launch on June 28th. Only 10 days after launch, Mintirocket has sold over a cumulative 1 million copies of the beloved oceanic escapade! Critics around the world have been raving, earning the title an outstanding 89 Metacritic score and 89 OpenCritic score, but they aren’t the only ones praising the deep-sea diving, sushi restaurant management hybrid. Jumping to over 28,000 player reviews while maintaining its “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating makes it clear that those who play it, love it.

With its stunning 2.5D pixel art, quirky characters, and surprising cutscenes, players have been flocking to join Dave and his friends on their marine adventure. Within 24 hours, Dave the Diver scaled charts, reaching the #2 Global Top Sellers position on Steam. Since launch, Dave the Diver has seen a peak concurrent players count of over 98,000, reached over 66k concurrent viewers on Twitch, earned Metacritic’s #5 Best PC Game of 2023, and landed on OpenCritic’s 2023 Hall of Fame. Critical accolades include an IGN Editors’ Choice nod and a coveted Polygon Recommends badge. Unfortunately a review key did not come in time for our summer break, but we certainly will be reviewing the Nintendo Switch version later this year. Keep an eye out on our Switch review page.
