If you’re, like us, eagerly anticipating the Alone in the Dark remake, we have some bad news for you. THQ Nordic announced through Twitter that the remake of the grandfather of all survival horror games has been delayed.
It’s gonna be a busy October
To be honest, I’m kind of happy they delayed the game. When we take a look at the release window, October is going to be one incredibly busy month. With huge releases like Lords of the Fallen, Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Forza Motorsport, Spider-Man 2, and in my opinion, a sequel to the best Xbox 360 game ever made, Alan Wake 2. There will be too many great games and too little time. And we’ve got to give Pieces Interactive some credit, as they are very honest about why they chose to delay the game, as you can see below in their press release.
Reasons
“Our intention is to avoid competing with the wake of Alan’s epic release and to evade the dazzling skyline of cities adorned by the graceful swings of Spider-Man. We aim to truly remain as Alone in the Dark as possible. To honor this, the spine-chilling horror game has been rescheduled to unveil its horrors on January 16th, 2024. This extension will serve a dual purpose: not only will it permit us to meticulously perfect the gaming experience, but it will also grant us the opportunity to fully immerse ourselves in the remarkable releases of October.”
So we gotta stay in the light just a little bit longer before we can embark on the journey alone in the dark!
