The manic side‑scroll shoot ’em up Mamorukun ReCurse! is scheduled for global release on September 25 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch. Co‑developed by City Connection and Clear River Games this remaster revives the 1997 cult classic with new content and modern polish.

Some of the key updates include higher resolution sprites animated backgrounds and three game modes: Arcade for veteran players, novice for beginners and challenge for speed‑runners with remixed bosses and completion leaderboards. Controls now support both modern controllers and compatible arcade sticks. Audio enhancements include an arranged soundtrack plus original chiptunes for gamers that are still looking for a bit of the original charm.

Physical editions for Switch and PS5 will ship via Limited Run Games. Included are reversible cover art a sprite sheet and poster. The release Mamorukun ReCurse! is yet another great testament of publishers and developers finding it a market to update and publish these seemingly niche games.
