If you’re a Sega fan with a soft spot for analog watches, you may want to set a reminder. As of August 5, there’s just one day left before Sega opens pre-orders for three officially licensed console-themed watches.
The collection consists of three different models inspired by the Dreamcast, Sega Saturn and Mega Drive. Each watch features the respective console logo and incorporates elements of its controller layout into the dial. One curious detail is that, despite only being sold in the US and Canada, all three watches are based on the Japanese versions of the consoles rather than their Western counterparts.
The watches are produced by SuperGroupies under official license from Sega and manufactured in China. The company specialises in licensed video game and anime accessories and has previously released several Sega-themed products, including a $219 Sonic the Hedgehog watch.
If you’re interested in adding one to your collection, be prepared to splash a little. Each watch carries a price tag of $319.99. While they’re far from the most expensive watches on the market, they’re also a long way from being simple novelty items. Each model comes packaged in a presentation box inspired by its respective console, features a stainless steel strap and has the console logo engraved on the case back.
Pre-orders open on August 6, 2026, with deliveries expected to begin in February 2027.
