PlayStation has announced its new PlayStation Plus additions for the coming month, and among the pretty massive and strong 19-game lineup (which includes Kena: Bridge of Spirits, Doom Eternal, and indie classic Slay the Spire), we found a game that might pique your interest. “Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom” is a brand new addition to the “Wonder Boy” franchise and was released in 2019 to much critical acclaim. It seems that Monster Energy (MEC), the well-known energy drink company, is quite eager to protect its trademark rights when it comes to the use of the common English word “monster.” At least, that’s what the actions of its trademark lawyers appear to be indicating. 1. It's well known that @MonsterEnergy is a notorious trademark troll. Unfortunately, they're at it again. For a company that likes to target their drinks at gamers, they also like to try to bully & bankrupt game studios with lengthy high dollar litigation. #indiegamedev #gamedev pic.twitter.com/8xvg7iWqQe— Vincent Livings (@VincentLivings) March 29, 2023 Glowstick Entertainment has…

It intentionally clones Castlevania, complete with all the classic tropes that the the first Castlevania offerings cemented. Before the advent of the Metroidvania genre. To spice things up, developer GameAtomic (which is solo-dev Angel Dorantes), added some unmistakable references to Shovel Knight as well. Despite its lack of originality in gameplay, at first sight, Kraino Origins has an authentic visual flair that is instantly appealing to me. If it executes…
