The tried and tested Worms gameplay is still as enjoyable as ever, with a vast array of weapons and artillery units providing plenty of flexibility on the battlefield.

PlayStation has announced its new PlayStation Plus additions for the coming month, and among the pretty massive and strong 19-game lineup (which includes Kena: Bridge of Spirits, Doom Eternal, and indie classic Slay the Spire), we found a game that might pique your interest. “Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom” is a brand new addition to the “Wonder Boy” franchise and was released in 2019 to much critical acclaim. The game follows the gameplay principles of “Dragon’s Trap,” allowing players to use different characters (or forms) with unique abilities to navigate challenging platforming action, find hidden paths and solve puzzle-platforming…
“Let’s Build a Zoo”, the 2D pixel zoo simulator, will be releasing a DLC package later this year that is entirely dedicated to the marine world. Called “Let’s Build a Zoo: Aquarium Odyssey”, the DLC promises to include over 100 new shops, decorations, facilities, enclosures, and more. In celebration of this announcement, a free update has been released today, called the “Sloths and Spas Update”. It’s unclear what this update will entail, but given the name, we can assume sloths will be involved. No More Robots, the developer, has not yet confirmed a release date for the Aquarium Odyssey DLC,…
Reviewed and only available Nintendo Switch and released by Rainmaker Productions – Release on March 30th 2023 for €/$24.99. Assault Suits Valken, also known as Cybernator in the West, is a game that received moderate praise upon its original release on the Super Famicom and SNES in 1992. However, it never really gained enough traction to be part of the Canon for the SNES and end up on ‘best of” articles or videos. By chance, I acquired the Japanese version as part of a lot containing 20 random Super Famicom games. I played it for a bit and found the…

Over Horizon was originally released for the NES and was developed by the same team, but was only released in Japan. The games in the collection will feature some quality-of-life additions, such as rewind features, save states,…
It seems that Monster Energy (MEC), the well-known energy drink company, is quite eager to protect its trademark rights when it comes to the use of the common English word “monster.” At least, that’s what the actions of its trademark lawyers appear to be indicating. 1. It's well known that @MonsterEnergy is a notorious trademark troll. Unfortunately, they're at it again. For a company that likes to target their drinks at gamers, they also like to try to bully & bankrupt game studios with lengthy high dollar litigation. #indiegamedev #gamedev pic.twitter.com/8xvg7iWqQe— Vincent Livings (@VincentLivings) March 29, 2023 Glowstick Entertainment has…
Released on Nintendo Switch (28/3/2023) and Steam (3/11/2022) for €/$ 11,99 and £ 10,79.Developed by GameAtomic and published by Elden Pixels. Kraino Origins makes no effort to hide its inspiration. It intentionally clones Castlevania, complete with all the classic tropes that the the first Castlevania offerings cemented. Before the advent of the Metroidvania genre. To spice things up, developer GameAtomic (which is solo-dev Angel Dorantes), added some unmistakable references to Shovel Knight as well. Despite its lack of originality in gameplay, at first sight, Kraino Origins has an authentic visual flair that is instantly appealing to me. If it executes…
The 2D-HD remaster of Square Enix’s Super Famicom classic, Live A Live, will soon be released on PS4, PS5, and Steam, on April 27th. After its original release on Nintendo Switch last year, the only platform left without the game is Xbox, unfortunately. Square Enix is causing some confusion with their releases on different platforms. Octopath Traveler was released on Switch and Xbox, but not Playstation. However, with Octopath Traveler and Live A Live, Square Enix has made a complete reversal and released them Playstation after their original release on Nintendo Switch and Steam. Similar to the Final Fantasy series,…
According to the developer Magic Cube, Merge & Blade, an auto-battler puzzle game, achieved over 400,000 users within a month of its official launch on Xbox, Game Pass, and Steam. Looking at the game’s Steam record, it’s evident that Xbox Game Pass is the primary channel responsible for its high user count. The game’s accessible gameplay and favorable reviews, blending grid-based puzzle mechanics with auto-battle strategy components, appear to have lowered the threshold for downloading the game, attracting an substantial following. To retain its player base, Magic Cube has revised its update plan to release three new characters every two…
