Blaze Entertainment has announced that it will increase the retail prices of Evercade cartridges and the Super Pocket handheld across the UK and Europe from July 2026. According to CEO Andrew Byatt, the decision comes after the company spent a prolonged period absorbing higher manufacturing and logistics costs.
For European customers, the recommended retail price of standard Evercade cartridges will increase from €24.99 to €29.99, while the Super Pocket handheld will rise from €59.99 to €69.99. UK pricing will increase from £19.99 to £24.99 for cartridges and from £49.99 to £59.99 for Super Pocket.
One notable change is that Blaze will no longer distinguish between standard cartridges and Giga Carts in terms of pricing. Going forward, every Evercade cartridge will carry the same recommended retail price.

According to Byatt, the increase is largely driven by higher component costs, particularly memory chips. He points to significant price increases for both DRAM and NAND flash memory throughout 2026, alongside continued pressure from manufacturing and freight costs.
The announcement does not affect customers in North America. Blaze says recent reductions in US import tariffs have allowed it to keep American pricing unchanged at $29.99 for Evercade cartridges and $69.99 for Super Pocket.
Blaze also confirmed that several products are not affected by the new pricing. The Evercade EXP-R, VS-R and Evercade Alpha systems will retain their current prices for the time being, while the announcement also has no impact on the company’s previously announced Nexus plans.
Existing retailer stock may still be sold at the previous prices until inventories are depleted, meaning some players may still be able to pick up cartridges or a Super Pocket at the old MSRP for a limited time.
In his statement, Byatt reiterated that Blaze remains committed to its philosophy of offering physical releases, officially licensed games and curated collections without subscriptions or complicated setup, while promising more retro gaming products are still on the way.
